Details of the 2008 post-graduate bursary are now available. The AFLS invites applications for a bursary of £2,000 to an outstanding candidate, registered for a PhD, who already has well under way a programme of doctoral research in French Language Studies. The bursary is intended to help ensure successful completion.
The 2008 AFLS conference will be held in Oxford. The conference mini-site can be found here and gives lots of information about the conference and staying in Oxford.
Please note the following upcoming workshops:

AFLS supports the World Congress of French linguistics.
The Association:
AFLS was
founded in 1981 to encourage and promote language teaching activities and
research in French Language and Linguistics as areas worthy of
consideration in their own right. The Association acts as a forum for
scholarly discussion and for the exchange of information among those
interested and engaged in teaching French in Higher Education.
The
Association has members all over the world from the UK and France
to the USA, Canada and Australia.
